The Playbook was a half-hour comedy series hosted by Donald Faison for Spike TV that revolved around a typical young male trying to figure out dating and relationships as if they were plays in a sports playbook.

Kwyn co-wrote two of the ten series episodes.  ...In the following sequence, Kwyn does his best to help guys help themselves in their effort to pick up girls.

INT. HOT CLUB - NIGHT

Stooge #2 buys his hot female friend (WING WOMAN) a drink at the bar. As she turns to talk with a sexy CLUB CHICK, he turns to camera.

DONALD FAISON:

 Bringing a cute female friend with you pays instant dividends both inside and outside the club... The system dictates that you exhaust your time, money and energy on each new social interaction. A good wing woman cuts through all that...

INSERT GRAPHIC: FORGET THE WINGMAN - CARRY A WING WOMAN.

DONALD FAISON (V.O.) (CONT’D):

She is your coach, your lead blocker, and your agent rolled into one attractive package.Not only can she give you a reliable female POV -- as far as who’s available, interested and worth buying a drink for, she’s also your set-up guy, who knows the importance of when to make an inside pitch...

Stooge #2 touches Wing Woman on the shoulder. She gives him a wink that says, “I know the plan.” As he heads for the bathroom, we hold on Wing Woman’s conversation...

CLUB CHICK:

(watching Stooge go) Hey your friend is cute. How long have you two been going out.

WING WOMAN: 

No, I’ve got a boyfriend. He and I are just friends. We had a thing for a minute but it didn’t work out.

CLUB CHICK:

What was wrong with him?

Donald Faison FREEZES the frame...

DONALD FAISON: 

Ah, the defining moment where any wing woman proves herself as either All-Pro or Bush league... If you’ve committed the ultimate error and chosen one with UNRESOLVED FEELINGS FOR YOU! Well, she may act as goalie and intentionally puck you up...

BACK TO:

CLUB CHICK:

What was wrong with him?

WING WOMAN: 

Nothing... besides the fact that he has no job, lives with his mother and is the worst sex I ever had.

CLUB CHICK:

(mortified): Really...

STAMP: BUSH LEAGUE WING WOMAN!!! INSERT “BOO!” SFX WITH BONE- CRUSHING SACK!

DONALD FAISON: 

Ouch. The key to choosing an all- pro wing woman is being sure that she has NO ROMANTIC INTEREST IN YOU!

DISSOLVE TO:

CLUB CHICK:

What was wrong with him?

WING WOMAN: 

Nothing. We were too much alike. And it’s too bad because I have to admit he was the best sex I ever had.

CLUB CHICK:

(intrigued) Really...

STAMP: ALL-PRO WING WOMAN!!! INSERT “CROWD APPLAUSE!” SFX WITH REF “TOUCHDOWN”!
